#BeautyBar: My Go-To Product for Oily Summer Skin

Stay hydrated

I’ve never been one to go all out with a skin care regimen, let alone buy into the idea of a face mist. But Mario Badescu’s facial spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater has proven me wrong.

With any product you try there will always be things you like and wish were somehow different, better, improved etc. This product is no exception, however, it’s more of a hiccup on the road to hydration.

My skin is kind of weird in the way that it’s almost like it doesn’t know how to react to weather. For the most part it is dry with the occasional oily t-zone. After using this glorious product, I noticed my skin become softer without much dryness. The product isn’t heavy and it done’t make my skin feel oily. I definitely feel refreshed after each spray.

The only thing that I don’t like about it is once you spray it, it takes a hot second for your skin to absorb the mist so for a moment in time you might look a little dewy. But on a hot summer day, especially under Texas heat, I don’t think I’d mind that all too much.

I mainly apply it after washing my face and I use it as a setting spray for my make up. I’ve also found myself applying it at work as a way to feel a bit more energized. During SXSW I sprayed it to maintain my skin’s hydration. It’s even okay on hair so it wont mess up your ‘do! I’d say that’s an added bonus. Not to mention it smells amazing.

One thing that I’ve been learning from skin care regimens is that mixing different brands of skin care to fit what is best for you, is what skin care is really all about. It’s important to find what best suits your skin type, and what I find to be really cool about this product is that it can cater to so many needs.
